PRIDE PACK DISTRIBUTION
The objective Thursday night practice is to get Pride Packs and shoes to the girls, so that they will have them for Saturday’s Jamboree. Of course you may not want them to wear the shoes on Saturday if it’ll be muddy. Just white sneakers would be fine.

Here’s what we have for most of the girls. The orders may not contain all of the items that you ordered, as we had the vendor rush to get the shirts and shorts made for Jamboree. As with any large order, there are some discrepancies. We also did not get some of the shoes and hair bows for the fittings that were done last week.

            Pride Pack Shirt

            Pride Pack Shorts

            Bloomers

            Hair Bow

            Shoes (not for TM)

 UNIFORMS
If you do not have a uniform yet, please contact me as soon as possible.

For those of you that I have contacted about ordering uniforms, they are not yet available due to a manufacturing error. We’re working to correct this as fast as possible.

Our goal is to wear uniforms on 8/30 for the 1st game, but we need to be sure that everyone has a uniform. If one squad has to wear pride packs, they all have to wear pride packs.

CROP TOPS – If you still need a crop top (not TM or MM), please e-mail me with your name and bust size. If the sun ever comes out again, we can measure the girls at the field.

TEAM VOLUNTEERS/PARENTS

Please see me tonight. We need to have goodie bags for the Jamboree Saturday (sorry for the late notice).

 BRAX SPIRIT CUPS FUNDRAISER
The deadline has been extended to 9/12. The Brax Spirit Cup marketing piece and order forms are in the blue folders that you received at registration. For those of you who still need one, I now have them and will bring them tonight.

That’s all for now. I will be away from my personal e-mail for the rest of the day, so I won’t be able to respond to any questions until after practice tonight.

If you have an urgent issue, please e-mail me at carol.a.nelson@rrd.com.

Thank you and see you tonight!

 Carol

RULES AND EXPECTATIONS

Attached are the Cheer Rules and Regulations. Please read over as you will be asked to sign and return this at the July 19th registration.

Some other things to remember:
1. DO NOT allow your child to have their ears pierced right before or during the season. No jewelry is allowed per the Pop Warner National Rules. This is to protect the children from injury. If your child is wearing jewelry, it will need to be removed or they will not be allowed to practice or participate on game day.
2. National Pop Warner Rules require 20 hours of conditioning before we can begin to stunt.
3. No outside practices are allowed. If you have any concerns about this, please contact Carol Nelson (canelson614@earthlink.net) or Linda Rebello (rebellolinda@yahoo.com).

TEAM PARENT

Though squads will not formally be announced until after the final registration on July 19th, we are looking for parents who are interested in helping the squads.
Possible Team Mom/Dad Responsibilities:
1. Help the coach provide communications to the squad parents.
2. Prepare the fruit at the games and coordinate snacks for the end of the game
Fruit will be provided for the 3rd quarter. The Team Parent will put the fruit and provided drinks into cups for the squad.
3. Coordinate the preparation of the spirit sticks
Each squad usually prepares 2 spirit sticks per cheerleader to throw out into the crowd during games. Spirit sticks are toilet paper rolls filled with candy and wrapped in aluminum foil.

Team Mom/Dads will need to complete the Official 2008 Volunteer Application and provide a copy of your Driver’s License. The Team Mom/Dad will also need to participate in one of the following 4-hour programs to be certified to be on the field with the cheerleaders.
